Yeshiva Sha’arei Zion Mission Statement
Our Mission is to raise a new generation of Torah true Jews who will carry on proudly their rich Sephardic history and traditions.
At Yeshiva Sha’arei Zion we realize that we hold in our hands, as the only Chareidi Sephardic Yeshiva in Queens, the next generation of Torah leaders for the community and our aim is that every student gain fluency, mastery, and appreciation for Torah scholarship.
We would like all of our students to be equipped for a professional career path if they so choose and to at least be ready as high functioning citizens in our society.
Recognizing that every student learns differently, our educational approach is to engage each student and to excite their interest through the employment of multiple mediums of modalities and differentiated instruction. With this in mind we make certain our teachers have Masters Degrees and are masters in all the current and classic approaches to education.
We invite our parents as partners to join in the dynamism of their child’s development. We have discovered that when parents, and teachers, and the administration stand as one, then the child feels deep trust and is happily responsive to the embrace of a loving and concerned family of helpers.
